Guilt Grid Privacy Policy

1. Information stored on your device

Guilt Grid stores certain gameplay information locally on your device so the app can remember your progress and preferences. This may include:

• Completed cases and completion times
• Daily Case attempts, completions, and streak information
• App preferences and entitlement status

This information is used to provide app functionality. Guilt Grid does not currently require an account and does not operate a developer-controlled cloud database for gameplay progress.

2. Advertising and Google AdMob

Guilt Grid uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may automatically collect or receive information from your device in connection with ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, frequency control, and, where permitted, advertising personalization.

This information may include:

• Device and app identifiers
• IP address and general location derived from it
• Device, operating-system, and app information
• Ad impressions, interactions, and diagnostic information
• Consent and privacy-choice signals

Google may use cookies, local storage, mobile identifiers, and similar technologies as described in Google’s own privacy policies and advertising documentation.

3. Consent and privacy choices

Guilt Grid uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request, record, and respect consent or privacy choices where required. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may be offered personalized ads, non-personalized ads, limited ads, or other privacy controls.

Where required, the app will provide access to privacy options so you can review or update your choices.

4. Support and issue reports

When you contact Guilt Grid support by email, we receive the information you choose to include in your message. This may include your email address, screenshots, device and app details, case information, and the contents of your message.

Guilt Grid also provides an in-app issue-report form. When you submit a report through the app, the report may include:

• The description you enter
• An optional reply email address
• The Guilt Grid app version and build number
• Your device platform and operating-system version
• Relevant case details, such as case ID, title, difficulty, and grid size
• The date and time the report was submitted

Issue reports are used to investigate problems, respond when requested, improve the app, prevent abuse, and maintain records related to support requests and resolutions.

5. Information we do not intentionally request

Guilt Grid does not currently require you to provide:

• Your legal name
• A Guilt Grid account or password
• Your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location
• Health, financial, or government identification information

6. Third-party services

Third-party services may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. Guilt Grid currently uses:

• Google Mobile Ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform for advertising, consent management, measurement, and related functionality
• Formspree to receive, process, deliver, and store in-app issue reports

7. Data retention

Locally stored gameplay data remains on your device until it is removed by the app, cleared through app functionality, or deleted when you remove the app, subject to operating-system behavior and device backups.

Support emails and in-app issue reports may be retained by Guilt Grid and its service providers for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, investigate issues, document resolutions, prevent abuse, improve the app, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may also depend on the settings and policies of the applicable service provider.

8. Children’s privacy

Guilt Grid is not directed specifically to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information directly from children through an account-registration system.

Advertising services may apply age-related and regional protections according to their policies and applicable law.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures intended to protect information handled through Guilt Grid. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Guilt Grid’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest revision.
